The internet is excellent at telling you that something happened. It is less reliable at telling you whether the thing deserves ten more minutes of your life.
This recurring CHIC.AF format is designed as an index rather than a news dump: a handful of launches to watch, exhibitions to bookmark, hotel openings to remember, fragrances worth sampling, objects with a reason to exist and cultural references that make the rest of the month more interesting.
The rule
Every inclusion should answer at least one question: Is it genuinely new? Is it unusually well done? Does it signal a larger shift? Is it useful? Is it delightful enough that usefulness is beside the point?
Anything that survives that filter belongs here. Everything else can continue doing perfectly well without our help.
